Tekris Power Model XATS-1 Automatic Transfer Switch.

The Tekris Power Automatic Transfer Switch allows your appliance to switch from utility power to inverter power without any maintenance. Simply plug in the appliances according to the instruction sheet included with the transfer switch and your appliances will switch to your back-up power source even when you're not at home. With the set-up described below, a sump pump or any appliance will automatically switch to inverter power when the utility power is not available. Rated at 15 amps continuous.

When used with the Xantrex XPower PowerPack 1500 The Tekris automatic transfer switch provides an automatic back up supply for Sump Pumps, Aquariums and more.

1. Plug the appliance into the outlet on the Automatic Transfer Switch.
2. Plug the power cord marked "To Utility Power" into a wall outlet that is protected by a 15-amp breaker. After 30 seconds, power will pass from the wall outlet through the transfer switch to the sump pump.
3. Plug the power cord marked "Inverter Power" into the XP1500 Power Cart outlet.
4. Be sure that the XP1500 Power Cart is left on and the battery charger connected as well. You can test the system by removing the "To Utility Power" cord. The transfer switch will then transfer the source of power from the wall outlet to the XPower PowerPack 1500.
