The Powersource 1800 has an internal automatic transfer switch that allows your appliance to switch to inverter power when you're not at home. The XPower 1500 can be combined with the XATS-1 for automatic switching.

The Powersource 1800 can recahrge only from an AC outlet, whereas the Xpower 1500 can recharge from an AC or a DC source such as the cigarette lighter in your car.

The Powersource 1800 has four AC outlets whereas the Xpower 1500 has two.

The Powersource will provide a continuous output of 1800 watts and a 3600 watt surge whereas the XPower 1500 provides a continuous output of 1350 watts and a 3000 watt surge.
