UPS does offer a temporary import option with posting of a $90 bond. You must also declare the value of your inverter/charger so that there will be no duties, only taxes, upon return to Canada. If you do not designate this temporary import service when you ship your package to Tekris, your package will be returned with the full declared value and be subjected to the associated taxes and duties as though it were a full purchase.
A Temporary Import Bond must accompany a special customs entry for merchandise to be brought into the country exempt of duty, providing the merchandise exits the country within a certain amount of time and under U.S. Customs and Border Protection supervision.
