First thing is to determine whether it is the inverter that will not charge or the batteries that will not accept the charge.
You can do this by testing the DC output of the inverter with a true RMS volt meter at the inverter output and testing the voltage at the batteries. If the inverter is putting out the sufficient current to the batteries but the batteries won't charge, you may have problems with your batteries.
Before investing in new batteries, we recommend that you equalize your batteries.
