Can I run my Cpap machine on an inverter?   Date: Wednesday 22 August, 2007
FAQ Summary:
Maybe. Before you operate any medical devices on an inverter you should contact the manufacturer to ensure compatibility, especially with a modified sinewave inverter.

FAQ Content:

We have many clients who purchase the XPower 1500 for their Cpap machines. This unit allows you to provide power for the machine during campground quiet times when you cannot run the generator. Most Cpap machines operate at approximately 30 watts. On a fully charged battery in the XPower 1500, a Cpap machine with a 30 watt draw would run for close to 10 hours.

Before committing to purchasing this unit, we strongly advise you to contact the machine's manufacturer to ensure compatibility and wattage specifications. Tekris does not guarantee this calculated run time nor can we be responsible for any health issues arising from the use of the XPower 1500 with a Cpap machine. Please take all precautions ensuring that your Cpap machine will operate accordingly with the inverter.
